Job Opportunity: Mobile Plant Operator
(Travel across the UK)
We are currently recruiting reliable and trustworthy individuals to operate our mobile equipment at various sites across the UK.
The role is interesting and varied, involving travel and working away from home for ten days, along with some shift work. A suitable vehicle and accommodation will be provided by the company.
A background in process plant operations would be beneficial. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, well-organized, computer literate, confident, reliable, and eager to expand their knowledge and skills.
The Person
* Plant operator with an understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment.
* Ability to work unsupervised, sometimes at remote sites.
* Experience in process industries; relevant experience in water or process industry is an advantage but not essential.
* Flexible and adaptable to changing requirements to meet customer demands.
* Customer-focused with strong communication skills at all levels, able to gain trust and respect.
* Experience operating, maintaining, assembling, and disassembling heavy machinery that operates at speed.
* Able to work away from home for up to 10 days, depending on shift patterns.
* Willing to work various shifts, including night shifts and staggered start times.
* Full, ideally clean, driving license for manual vehicles.
* Forklift and/or Telehandler license is an advantage but not essential.
The Role
* Staggered work pattern, 10-day fortnight, including alternate weekends.
* Overtime paid at 1.5x for shifts over 85 hours per fortnight.
* Operate and maintain a range of Mobile Processing Plants.
* Adjust machine settings to achieve desired processing parameters.
* Assist Service Engineers on site or at the workshop.
* Follow Risk Assessments and Method Statements before installation and operation tasks.
