Length of employment: Job Summary: His Majesty's Naval Base Clyde (HMNB Clyde) is home to the United Kingdom's Strategic Nuclear Deterrent, Astute Class Attack Submarines, First Mine Counter Measure Squadron and 43 Cdo Royal Marines. It is an operational support and maintenance base, within the Navy Command TLB and comprises both Faslane and Coulport sites. HMNB Clyde's primary purpose is to provide engineering and logistical support to the Royal Navy in maintaining Continuous at Sea Deterrent (CASD). This is achieved by ensuring at least one Vanguard Class submarine is on patrol at sea every day of the year. RNAD Coulport is responsible for the storage, processing, maintenance and issue of the Trident Weapon System and the ammunitioning of all submarine-embarked tactical weapons. This position is advertised at 37 hours per week. Job Description: The Project Delivery Sponsor support is an integral part of the Project Delivery Sponsor - Support and Security team who aide the Assistant Head of Infrastructure for the management and delivery of allocated infrastructure programmes and projects in accordance with Nuclear Authorisation Conditions (ACs) at HMNB Clyde. The Delivery Sponsor team is the NBC Clyde interface and intelligent customer for allocated projects supporting the management and integration of the infrastructure delivery and collaborative engagement with all HMNB Clyde's infrastructure delivery partners (including DIO and their Industry Partners). The post requires confident people skills and the ability to build and maintain an extensive network of stakeholders where collaboration is key to the success of delivering within an operational and regulated environment. You will support the project lifecycle from the security risk through to the delivery of a solution / capability. will build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, including: SDG, Commercial, Finance, Infrastructure, Site Security Forces, Babcock Marine, SSG and DIO. You will, when required brief appropriate stakeholders on Support & Security infrastructure matters affecting HMNB Clyde and facilitate meetings as required. You will assist with the co-ordination and coherence of project requirements with wider Clyde Infrastructure Programme, Operational Programme and wider strategic programmes clearly identifying required timescale and success criteria. In addition, Delivery Sponsor 2.2.1.1 will undertake other appropriate tasks as directed by the DS 2.2.1 to achieve departmental outputs. Demonstrable experience of planning and organising a programme of events in an operational environment. The ability to both lead and work within multi-disciplinary teams to delivery agreed outcomes. An understanding of MOD Nuclear Safety & Security Culture Specific responsibilities include: Assisting with developing forward work programmes, leading and working within joint project teams, promoting a strong safety and security culture, project sponsorship, monitoring project delivery, risk management, requirement management and project governance.
