Have you ever thought about a career in support work?
Supporting adults with learning disabilities can be incredibly meaningful - and you don’t need any previous experience. We’ll give you all the training you need to succeed. At MacIntyre, we believe in building real, lasting relationships. You'll work regularly with the same people, giving you the chance to make a genuine difference in someone’s life.
We’re currently looking for a full-time Support Worker (37.5hpw) to join our welcoming team in Manchester. You’ll be supporting a young man in his 20s in his own home. To help unlock opportunities for him to do the things he loves, you’ll need to be a confident driver with a UK manual driving licence.
Meet Craig*
Craig* is a fun and outgoing young man with a wide range of interests - from gaming on his Xbox and watching horror films, to working on DIY and woodworking projects. He also enjoys spending time out and about, especially if there’s a game of pool involved. Craig would love his Support Workers to...
* Have a good sense of humour
* Love animals
* Be interested in music
* Be calm, consistent, and patient
* Help him stick to routines, while gently encouraging him to try new things
You don’t need formal qualifications - just the right values, a willingness to learn, and a genuine interest in supporting people to live life in their own way.
If this sounds like something you'd enjoy, we’d love to hear from you.

About you
While we welcome candidates with experience as a care assistant or similar, experience isn’t necessary. If you have the right attitude, share our values and are willing to learn, you’re likely to be a great fit. We are looking for people who celebrate differences, and we strive to make all our staff feel included, valued and respected.
You'll be working to support a 24/7 rota, including bank holidays and weekends.
You must be a driver with a clean manual driving license and have been driving for over a year.
