Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for innovative individuals to work as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) within the Older Adult Mental Health Community Services.
We are committed to ensuring that all older adults within the mental health service receive an exceptional standard of care. ANPs are well placed to respond to the health and social care needs by meeting the requirements of the population in different ways and contributing to a sustainable and effective system.
We are looking for qualified mental health ANP to work within their professional boundaries to provide physical and mental health care for the presenting patient from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation of their care. The successful candidates will demonstrate safe clinical decision-making and expert care for patients. They will be highly motivated and forward-thinking with a positive attitude to working within this evolving service.
The ANP will be expected to support service development through research, audit, and quality improvement. They will also have a responsibility to teach, supervise, assess, and mentor staff within the multidisciplinary team.
This post will predominantly cover the older adult community mental health team based in Central and West Fife. There may be a requirement for candidates to work across other areas. Hours will be worked over a five-day week, Monday to Friday, 9 am - 5 pm.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified Advanced Nurse Practitioners who already possess the non-medical prescribing and clinical assessment skills qualifications.
Trainees are paid a percentage of the pay band maximum for the qualified rate, dependent on the duration of the training period.
A requirement of this post is to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme prior to appointment.
