About the Role
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nightshift Care Assistant to join our team on an immediate start (depending on satisfactory checks). This is a full-time role offering 36 hours per week. You’ll be working night shifts from 7:30pm to 07:30am, including some weekends and public holidays.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow within the care sector, with a clear pathway for stepping into a senior role. The hourly pay will increase to £13.75 when doing a senior role.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality, person-centred care to residents during night hours
* Support and assist with personal care, including washing, dressing, and toileting
* Administer medication to residents and maintain accurate records
* Monitor and respond to residents’ needs throughout the night
* Maintain accurate care records and report any concerns to senior staff
* Promote dignity, independence, and wellbeing always
* Ensure the care home remains clean, safe, and comfortable overnight
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the best outcomes for residents
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
* Has previous experience working in a care role (essential)
* Holds a Level 2 qualification (essential)
* Can administer medication and step up as a senior when required
* Is kind, patient, respectful and empathetic with a genuine passion for supporting others
* Has good communication and teamwork skills and committed to delivering high standards of care.
* Can work independently during night shifts
* Is comfortable with personal care tasks
