The Opportunity: A well-established and reputable North West law firm is looking to expand its busy Residential Conveyancing department with the addition of an experienced and motivated Conveyancing Paralegal. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive individual to join a supportive and collaborative legal team that handles a broad range of residential property matters.
Offering a competitive salary of up to £31,000, this role is ideal for someone seeking long-term career development within a respected, client-focused practice.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting senior conveyancers and solicitors with end-to-end management of residential conveyancing transactions including:
* Sales, purchases, remortgages, right to buy, transfers of equity, and leasehold matters
* Liaising professionally and efficiently with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other third parties
* Drafting and preparing legal documents such as contracts, transfer deeds, and completion statements
* Reviewing title documentation and assisting with raising and responding to pre-contract enquiries
* Managing searches, SDLT submissions, and Land Registry applications
* Handling exchange and completion processes
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case files using the firm’s case management system
* Ensuring compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements
Requirements
* Minimum of 12 months’ experience in a residential conveyancing role (as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant)
* Strong understanding of the conveyancing process from instruction to post-completion
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Proficient with case management systems and Microsoft Office
* Strong attention to detail and ability to manage a busy caseload with supervision
* A client-focused, proactive, and organised approach
* Completion of LPC, CILEX, or other legal qualification
* Experience with leasehold, new build, or shared ownership matters
* Familiarity with digital conveyancing tools and processes
