Reporting To: Finance Manager
We are currently recruiting for an Accountant to join our finance team based in our Head Office in Fenton Stoke-On-Trent. This diverse role is integral to the finance team and offers a great opportunity to be involved in all aspects. You will work closely with the finance manager and other key business stakeholders.
You will deliver financial information to support decision making in the business. Work to contribute to a strong financial control culture within the business. Build long-standing cross-functional relationships: identify internal customer requirements, challenge constructively, and ensure professional objectivity. Through a centralized function, drive efficiencies through shared resources, processes, and systems.

Responsibilities for the Role
1. All month-end processes and the production of accurate monthly management accounts.
2. Reporting and explaining significant deviations between actual results and budget.
3. Reconciliation and analysis of Balance Sheet accounts and Trial Balance monthly.
4. Ensure HMRC Compliance - VAT Returns and PAYE liabilities are submitted and paid on time.
5. Cashflow forecasting and management.
6. Reconciliation of Invoice Discounting Facility.
7. Supporting the Finance Manager in the day-to-day management of the team.
8. Act as business partners to operational and commercial stakeholders within the business.
9. Liaising closely with the company's external auditors during the Year-End Audit.
10. Developing efficient systems for continuous improvement in effective financial management.
What We Are Looking For
1. Strong management and interpersonal skills.
2. Proven capability of delivering timely and accurate accounts and reports.
3. Excellent verbal and written presentation skills.
4. ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified, part-qualified, or significant QBE experience.
5. Availability to work at other office locations within the Dee Set & Acosta Group.
6. Previous experience with Microsoft Navision & Business Central (preferred but not essential).
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
8. Interest in client and colleague-facing processes.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
10. Flexible, adaptable, with initiative.
11. Ability to manage time and prioritize workload.
Benefits and Packages
1. 37.5 hours Monday to Friday in Stoke-on-Trent, with hybrid working.
2. Salary: £38,000 - £40,000 depending on experience.
