Responsibilities
* Support analytical testing activities for chemical products, ensuring accurate and reliable results
* Prepare laboratory solutions, handle standard glassware, and assist with chromatographic analyses
* Maintain laboratory documentation in compliance with GxP, SOPs, and good documentation practices
* Assist with equipment calibration, cleaning, and maintenance to uphold lab standards
* Support lab housekeeping, waste disposal, and inventory management for reagents and supplies
* Contribute to troubleshooting and problem-solving during assay processes
* Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth laboratory operations and project progress
Required Skills
* Minimum of A-level Chemistry or equivalent qualification; recent BSc Chemistry graduates are encouraged to apply
* Prior laboratory experience supporting analytical or chemistry‑based work (1-2 years preferred)
* Experience with lab glassware and standard equipment such as pipettes and filters
* Knowledge of good documentation practices and ALCOA++ principles
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
* Enthusiastic attitude with the ability to adapt to changing priorities
* Comfortable with repetitive tasks and maintaining high accuracy
Nice to Have Skills
* Experience with HPLC/UPLC systems (training can be provided)
* Familiarity with laboratory safety procedures and equipment validation
* Prior experience working in a regulated pharmaceutical or medical device environment
* Additional laboratory techniques or analytical skills
Preferred Education And Experience
* BSc in Life Sciences, Chemistry, or a related field is highly advantageous
* Candidates with only A-level Chemistry and relevant lab experience will also be considered
* Local candidates in or near Cambridge, with the ability to start immediately
Other Requirements
* Must be able to work fully on‑site in Cambridge
* Availability for a 12‑month fixed‑term contract
