We're looking for a friendly, enthusiastic Swimming Lesson Assistant to support our swimming teachers in delivering high-quality lessons to children and adults of all abilities. Your Role:
As a Swimming Assistant, you'll work closely with the lead Swimming Teacher to help create a safe, fun, and engaging learning environment. You'll support swimmers in the water, encourage progress, and help ensure every lesson runs smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the Swimming Teacher during lessons, providing in-water support where needed
* Help swimmers build confidence and improve technique through encouragement and guidance
* Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times
* Support the setup and pack-down of equipment before and after sessions
* Observe and report on swimmer progress to the lead teacher
* Maintain a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all participants
What We're Looking For:
* A passion for swimming and helping others learn
* Level 1 Swim England Swim Assistant Qualification
* Friendly, approachable, and confident working with children and adults
* Basic knowledge of swimming techniques and water safety (training can be provided)
* Previous experience working with groups or in a leisure setting (desirable)
* Ability to pass a background check
* A willingness to learn and grow within the role
Hours:
2.5 hours per week, with potential for additional hours as our programmes expands.
