Job Description
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a professional and adaptable Relief Residential Porter to join a high-quality residential development portfolio. This role provides essential cover across sites during periods of annual leave and sickness, therefore flexibility is a key requirement.

The Role
As a Relief Porter, you will be a vital part of the on-site team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and acting as a welcoming presence for residents and visitors. You will support site management and contractors while upholding the highest service and security standards.
Due to the relief nature of this position, candidates must be flexible with working locations and shifts as required.
Key Responsibilities
* Professionally greet residents and visitors, creating a welcoming environment.
* Respond efficiently to resident requests and provide assistance within reasonable expectations.
* Assist with doors, luggage, and parcel handling.
* Support management with administrative tasks and accurate record-keeping.
* Conduct routine building inspections (daily, weekly, and monthly).
* Perform weekly checks on vacant apartments, including running taps, testing appliances, recording meter readings, and identifying leaks or maintenance issues.
* Report health and safety concerns promptly to site management.
* Maintain clear communication with residents, contractors, and management via phone and email.
* Manage communal and apartment keys securely and oversee parcel management.
* Carry out minor maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs or basic repairs when required.
* Monitor and oversee contractors working on-site.
* Ensure building security procedures are followed at all times.
Skills & Experience Required
* Minimum of 1 year’s experience in a residential porter, concierge, or hospitality role.
* Strong customer service skills with a professional and approachable manner.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Proactive, organised, and able to work independently.
* Competent in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
* Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships.
* Flexible and dependable approach to work.
Package
* £30,400 annual salary
* 35 hours per week
* Overtime paid at time and a half
