The successful candidate will prioritize understanding customer needs to deliver exceptional value, including pre‑sales consultancy and post‑sales support to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Responsibilities
* Provide technical guidance during pre‑sales communications, collaborating with Sales Managers to help customers select the best hardware and software fit.
* Act as the primary technical point of contact for projects requiring significant machine‑vision integration, driving technical advancement in short‑to‑mid‑length engagements.
* Collaborate across Sales, Customizations, Marketing, and R&D to plan and execute unique customer requests.
* Support existing customers with case‑by‑case technical troubleshooting using tools such as Salesforce, email, phone, MS Teams, and other management software.
* Design in‑lab testing of customer applications to verify feasibility, documenting results and providing instructions for replication.
* Edit and coach customers on integrating Basler products using our internal code base.
* Work with marketing to build and maintain product demos for tradeshows and training events.
* Support RMA processes, evaluating requests, inspecting returns in SAP, and documenting findings.
* Travel to pre‑ and post‑sales customer visits and trade shows as required; total overnight travel up to 25%.
Requirements
* This role offers a hybrid working environment, combining office and remote work.
* Willingness to travel domestically and internationally; travel may cover up to 25% overnight trips.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
* 1–5 years of relevant experience in computer vision, machine vision, embedded systems, or AI/ML.
Technical Expertise
* Experience with computer vision and machine‑vision toolsets.
* Understanding of electronics concepts and circuit analysis.
* Programming skills in C++, C#, .NET (Python proficiency desirable). Windows OS proficiency; Linux/MacOS knowledge a plus.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
* Experience with 2D, line‑scan, or 3D cameras and camera interfaces (GigE, USB, Camera Link, CoaXPress).
* Knowledge of FPGAs, GPUs, lenses, or optics.
* Willingness to learn new technologies and stay current.

* Strong oral and written communication.
* Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks independently.
