An opportunity has arisen for a motivated and dynamic Compliance and Resource Programme Manager to join Laboratory Genetics, part of the West of Scotland Centre for Genomic Medicine. The laboratory provides high-quality cytogenetic and molecular diagnostics to the West of Scotland (population 3 million) and Scotland through the Scottish Genetics Laboratories and Molecular Pathology Consortia. It is based at the state-of-the-art Laboratory Medicine building at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow.
You will join a team of over 115 scientific and technical staff working closely with the Head of Service and senior management to deliver the Compliance and Resource Programme. We seek a motivated scientist with proven knowledge, enthusiasm, and drive who will rise to the challenges of this exciting role.
Essential requirements include state registration with the HCPC or an appropriate body, an upper second or first class honours degree in a relevant scientific subject, and a higher qualification such as FRCPath Part 1, MSc, or equivalent. Knowledge and experience of quality management, training, policies, legislation, and standards such as HSE, UKAS, ISO 15189:2012, COSHH, and risk assessment are also essential. Management and leadership experience are required.
The shift pattern is Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.
