The role includes being a named representative on the Operator Licence, providing technical advice on transport compliance, managing the Fleet Maintenance Workshop and Fleet Office, and overseeing depot security at Underwood Road Depot.
Essential qualifications include a relevant degree or professional qualification, a Certificate of Professional Competence in Road Haulage Operations (CPC), and a valid Driving Licence.
Candidates should demonstrate effective leadership, knowledge of statutory and legislative requirements, strong communication and negotiation skills, financial management experience, strategic planning ability, and risk management skills.
Additional responsibilities involve assisting in developing a Net Zero decarbonisation plan for the fleet. The post is based at Underwood Road Depot, and successful applicants will undergo a Disclosure Scotland check.
