We are looking for an Environment Team Manager to join our team in the South East at National Highways. The role can be based at any of our South East offices (Maidstone, Basingstoke, or Guildford) on a hybrid basis. A full driving licence, with no more than 3 points, is required.
Responsibilities
* Managing and developing a team of environmental specialists, supporting their growth and performance.
* Acting as the regional focal point for environmental requirements, impacts, and needs.
* Ensuring environmental considerations are embedded in forward programmes and maintenance plans.
* Maintaining accurate environmental asset data and systems and driving development and implementation of best practice processes.
Qualifications
* A degree in an environmental discipline (or equivalent) or substantial relevant experience.
* Full membership of a recognised environmental professional institute (e.g., CIEEM).
* Strong understanding of environmental standards, policies, and CDM 2015 regulations.
* Proven track record of developing environmental asset management plans and decision making.
* Proven experience leading teams in a complex service delivery environment.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to a variety of audiences.
* A full driving licence, with no more than 3 points.
