Job Title: Head of Strategic Partnerships & Community Investment

Salary: £30,000 base + commission (expected On Target Earnings: £39,000 with uncapped potential)

Location: Hybrid (Caerphilly based, with flexibility for remote working)

Type: Full time, permanent

We're looking for someone brilliant to help us grow Welsh ICE's mission by building long term, values aligned partnerships with businesses and organisations that care about community investment, entrepreneurship, and regeneration.

This is a senior role with no direct line management responsibility, but plenty of influence. You'll lead the development and delivery of our ICE Academy sales pipeline - connecting our highly celebrated business development programmes (like the 5-9 Club) with partners who want to invest in place based economic growth and inclusive entrepreneurship.

You'll be our go-to for B2B and corporate partnerships, taking ownership of strategy, outreach, relationship building, and handovers to our delivery team. You'll work closely with our ICE Academy Manager and SMT to keep everything aligned and flowing brilliantly. This isn't your typical sales role - it's all about building trust, sharing our impact, and creating strategic, long term relationships.

You'll need to be confident discussing social value, skilled at spotting and shaping opportunities, and proud to represent an organisation that genuinely changes lives.

Why This Role, Now?

This is a rare opportunity to shape something meaningful from the inside. You'll be part of a small but mighty team that's reshaping how communities are supported through entrepreneurship - and your work will directly unlock opportunities for people who need it most. You'll have autonomy, influence, and the chance to build something lasting, in a culture that values ideas, people and integrity over hierarchy.

While your initial focus will be on the ICE Academy, this role has real potential to grow in scope and responsibility. This is a chance to take a meaningful step forward - not just in title or salary, but in purpose, influence, and long term growth - helping to shape the future direction of Welsh ICE's strategic partnerships.

At Welsh ICE, we care deeply about the people we work with, whether it's our team, our partners, or the communities we support. We're a modern, dynamic organisation led by a leadership team who genuinely care about culture, collaboration and individual growth. It's fun, fulfilling and purpose driven - and the community we work with is as proud to be involved as the team who serve it.

What You'll Do

* Lead on all sales activity for the ICE Academy, identifying, building, and converting partnership opportunities
* Build and manage a robust, clearly documented B2B pipeline - keeping everyone aligned and informed
* Open doors and grow our corporate network in a way that reflects our values and mission
* Act as an ambassador for ICE in meetings with businesses, sponsors, funders, and decision makers
* Work closely with our ICE Academy Manager to align delivery with new partnerships, ensuring smooth handovers and ongoing success
* Collaborate with SMT and Operational Managers to help shape our overall business development strategy
* Track your own performance, report on progress to SMT and the CEO, and adapt the strategy as needed to meet set income targets
* Provide insight and advice to other managers across ICE to help nurture wider business development opportunities

About You

You'll thrive in this role if you are:

* A natural relationship builder - confident, warm, and purpose-driven, with the ability to connect quickly and meaningfully across sectors
* Able to build credibility fast with senior leaders, partners, and stakeholders - you've done this before and know how to speak their language
* Commercially sharp - you know what makes a great opportunity for a partner and how to shape it into a meaningful, long-term collaboration
* Strategic and proactive - you don't wait to be told what to do. You spot the gap and move to close it
* Exceptionally organised and self motivated - you own your pipeline, manage your time well, and can prioritise competing demands with confidence
* Passionate about regeneration, inclusion, and entrepreneurship - you care about real change and believe in community led growth
* Experienced - you've already built and managed strategic partnerships, secured sponsorships, or won contracts in a comparable setting
* Plugged in - you either have your own network or know exactly where to find and influence the right decision makers
* Tech savvy and systems ready - whether it's a CRM, Google Drive, a spreadsheet or a pitch deck, you're confident using the tools needed to stay on top of your game
* Ready to go - this role needs someone who can jump straight in, represent ICE brilliantly, and start building trust with partners from day one

You'll Love This Role If You Want To…

* Be part of a bold and growing organisation with real impact
* Sell something meaningful that creates long term change
* Work in a supportive, flexible team that values trust and autonomy
* Help shape the future of entrepreneurship support in Wales and beyond
* Build your own credibility in CSR, community investment, and strategic partnerships
* Join a senior team where your ideas, experience, and ambition will be valued - with real scope to grow your influence and career
