Working Hours
36.67 hours per week
Monday to Friday 2200-0600
About The Role
The Despatch operative will be responsible for the smooth transition of our product from production lines, ensuring availability for outloads.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
* Operating pedestrian pallet trucks, scanning product to ensure it is sent to the correct customer, and loading delivery lorries with the correct product.
* Manual handling which may include lifting equipment and products up to 20kg.
* Loading and unloading vehicles using manual handling equipment.
* Being fully aware of all required safety equipment needed to perform tasks and how to use it.
* Carrying out all duties in line with training, food safety, and health and safety guidance.
What We Are Looking For
* Good communication and numeracy skills - essential.
* An NVQ Level 2 in Food Manufacturing would be desirable.
* Previous experience in a similar role or in the food manufacturing industry would be advantageous.
* A basic food hygiene certificate, a battery-operated truck license, or manual handling training would be desirable.
* Effective organisation & time management skills.
* Full training will be provided.
