Role Overview:
Thirteen Group is on the lookout for an Income Lead to join our Housing and Communities team, as one of our new housing services leads.
As subject matter expert on income management and debt recovery, you’ll drive service transformation and provide advice on complex arrears, welfare reform, and financial hardship cases.
This is a roam role, so you’ll work mainly from home and at least one day a week from our fantastic office at Hudson Quay in Middlesbrough. We’ll need you to be flexible around business and team need, so you may need to come into the office more frequently when required

Key Responsibilities:
* Act as the escalation point for serious or complex debt and income management issues, using your knowledge to deliver great outcomes for customers.
* Collaborate with local authorities, DWP, and advice agencies to resolve income concerns and assist customers facing financial challenges.
* Lead on continuously improving our income and debt prevention services using customer feedback and insight. You’ll monitor income performance data, spotting risks, trends and opportunities for improvement.
* Responsible for auditing debt and income performance, ensuring accuracy, fairness and compliance with policy.
* Embed your expertise by providing training and coaching for colleagues on debt management, welfare reform, and customer engagement in income recovery
* Leading or support projects to modernise income services, including the use of new systems and payment technologies.
About You:
* Great at building relationships, you’ll have exceptional communication skills, and experience working with DWP, local authorities, and advice agencies.
* Experience of reviewing and improving income services, debt prevention, or welfare support.
* Knowledge of debt recovery, welfare reform, and income management practice.
* It would be a bonus if you have knowledge of Universal Credit, welfare reform, and financial inclusion initiatives.
* Comfortable with training, mentoring, and advising colleagues on debt and income management.
