Reporting to the MEP Construction Manager in the region, the key requirements include:
* 3rd Level Building Services / Mechanical Engineering Degree and/or Trade background
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a site-based MEP role
* Strong collaboration skills and ability to work as part of a high-performance team
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure mechanical activities are completed safely, prioritizing health and safety for all stakeholders
* Lead by example, ensuring all stakeholders are aware of company health & safety policies and procedures
* Be aware of hazardous energies and site-specific management strategies (Lock Out Tag Out)
* Have a full understanding of project mechanical systems and track installation compliance with specifications and schedules
* Understand project-specific commissioning requirements and assist in developing Commissioning Implementation Plans (CIPs)
* Conduct site inspections to ensure installations conform to requirements
* Coordinate that areas meet CSA and MEP quality standards for beneficial use in line with the construction program
* Provide stakeholders with necessary information to progress system installations
* Ensure contractors and vendors are adequately resourced to complete works efficiently
* Review construction schedules to optimize sequencing of mechanical and CSA scopes
* Chair and participate in project meetings with stakeholders
* Issue weekly progress and cost reports
* Manage subcontractor activities, tracking progress and manpower
* Review and ensure production of necessary documents such as programs, work trackers, risk assessments, progress reports, and handover packs
