We are looking for a Materials Handler to join our established Operations Supply Chain Team. The role is responsible for the movement of material between manufacturing processes and storage areas, ensuring line‑side stock is replenished and delivering consumable items such as tooling to the correct point of use.
What you’ll be doing as our Materials Handler
* Move material between manufacturing processes safely and efficiently
* Ensure line‑side product is available by managing material against min‑max levels
* Highlight stock shortages or risks ahead of line stop
* Deliver consumable items such as tooling to point of use
* Deliver 5S standards across the business to ensure layouts, storage media and MP&L processes are followed throughout the plant
* Manage waste streams from production areas and machines
* Manage off‑site tasks such as tool setting or kit item picks
* Work closely with the production and MP&L team
* Review and ensure best practice in inventory management and champion inventory best practice for the business
The Skills, Knowledge and Experience you will need as our Materials Handler
* Ability to understanding manufacturing, warehousing and associated processes
* Lean approach to optimizing supply chain performance
* Understanding of COSHH, RIDDOR & warehousing safety
* Ability to learn new skills/processes quickly is a key attribute
* Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications, in particular Word, Excel and PowerPoint
* Numeracy and IT skills
Need to have
* Minimum 3 years working experience within a manufacturing or supply chain environment
* FLT (Counterbalance) licence

Shifts: Monday – Friday 2 pm – 10 pm, 6 am – 2 pm, 10 pm – 6 am (Sunday)
Salary: £31,450 including shift allowance
