Salary: L3 – L6 (£54,394 – £58,569 per annum)

Position
As Head of Food and Nutrition you will support, develop and lead a team of teachers within your department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning and contributing to the academic success of students.
Responsibilities
Lead and develop the Food and Nutrition department, setting curriculum priorities and learning objectives.
Mentor and manage teaching staff, providing guidance and feedback to promote professional growth.
Collaborate with senior leadership to embed best practice in nutrition, safety and hygiene.
Ensure compliance with statutory and safeguarding standards and policies.
Represent the department in school committees and local discussions.
Qualifications and Experience
Postgraduate qualification in food and nutrition, dietetics or a related subject.
Significant experience in a leadership role within an educational setting.
Strong knowledge of UK food and nutrition standards and local authority regulations.
Excellent communication, organisational and people‑skills.
Demonstrated commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
