Are you ready to shape the sound of the future?
At Exact Sourcing, we are partnering with a leading consultancy known for technical excellence and innovative design. We are looking for an Acoustics Consultant who is as passionate about precision as they are about the environment we live in.
Whether it’s architectural acoustics, environmental noise impact, or building services vibration, you will be the expert who ensures that every space sounds exactly as it should.
This is a high-impact position where you will take ownership of projects from initial noise surveys to final design implementation. You will work across a diverse portfolio, including residential developments, commercial hubs, and public infrastructure.
As the Acoustics Consultant, you will be responsible for:
* Technical Analysis: Conducting noise and vibration surveys using industry-standard equipment and software (e.g., CadnaA, SoundPLAN, or CATT-Acoustics).
* Expert Reporting: Preparing detailed noise impact assessments and technical reports for planning applications and building regulations (Approved Document E).
* Design Collaboration: Working closely with architects and engineers to provide acoustic design solutions that balance aesthetics with functionality.
* Client Advocacy: Attending site meetings and acting as the technical point of contact for developers and local authorities.
As the Acoustics Consultant, you will have/be:
* Qualified Expert: You hold a degree in Acoustics, Physics, or a related Engineering discipline, and ideally, you are a member of the Institute of Acoustics (IOA).
* Analytical Mindset: You enjoy "the weeds" of data but can translate complex findings into clear, actionable advice for clients.
* Communication Skills: You are comfortable presenting your findings and can hold your own in a professional project meeting.
* Reliable & Proactive: You take pride in delivering high-quality work on time and enjoy the autonomy of managing your own project load.
Our client works with a diverse project portfolio: No two days are the same—from city-centre skyscrapers to rural environmental projects. The other areas that make this business really special is that they offer:
* Professional Growth: Our client is committed to CPD and will support your path toward Chartered Engineer status.
* Modern Working: Flexible working arrangements and a culture that values output over "desk time."
If you have an ear for detail and the technical skill to match, we want to hear from you
