We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Administrator to support and maintain existing cash collection systems and to facilitate their evolution. You will work independently and collaborate with the wider team.
This is a permanent full-time role based in Christchurch.
A typical day may include:
* Answering and resolving inquiries from patients, referrers, internal branches, and external organizations.
* Providing cover and assistance to the Accounts Receivable team as needed.
* Reviewing debtor reports and accounts receivable balances, taking necessary steps to collect overdue balances.
* Checking and updating patient details in systems.
* Tracking and resolving outstanding payment issues – debt collection.
* Issuing and distributing invoices promptly.
* Processing payments, accounts rendered, and debt collection procedures.
* Providing general departmental support as directed by managers.

Ideally, you have a background in accounts receivable, with attention to detail and process management skills.
Experience in the following is desirable:
* Methodical approach, accuracy, and perseverance.
* 2 to 4 years in a commercial finance role.
* Experience with company policies, invoicing, and debt recovery.
* Ability to work independently and in a team.
* Basic understanding of X-ray and scan types relevant to human anatomy and clinical procedures.
* Ability to analyze and investigate anomalies for accurate invoicing and debt recovery.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
