Electrical Project Manager
We are currently working on a commercial construction project and are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join the team on a freelance basis.
The Electrical Project Manager will be responsible for managing electrical works from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring delivery is safe, compliant, on programme, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and oversee all electrical works on site from start to handover
* Lead and coordinate electrical supervisors, engineers, electricians, and subcontractors
* Review and manage electrical drawings, specifications, schedules, and design information
* Plan works, manage programmes, and ensure milestones are achieved
* Coordinate closely with the main contractor, site manager, and other trade package managers
* Ensure all electrical works comply with relevant regulations, standards, and project specifications
* Manage health & safety across the electrical package, including RAMS, permits, and safe systems of work
* Monitor quality control, inspections, testing, and commissioning activities
* Track progress, identify risks or delays, and implement corrective actions
* Manage procurement of materials and subcontractor packages as required
* Oversee snagging, defects, and final handover documentation (O&M manuals, test certificates, as-builts)
* Maintain accurate project records, reports, and cost tracking where applicable
Required Qualifications & Experience
* Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in an Electrical Project Manager or Senior Electrical Supervisor role
* Proven experience delivering commercial or industrial projects
* Strong knowledge of electrical installations, testing, and commissioning
* Valid ECS Gold Card (or equivalent)
* SSSTS or SMSTS
* Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills
* Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and subcontractors
* Full UK Driving Licence
