Rate of Pay: £35.87- £46.20 per hour
Summary:
Wrexham County Borough Council is seeking an experienced interim Head of Service for Assets, Digital and Performance to lead the Strategic Assets, Facilities Management, and Design Services functions within the Housing Department. The postholder will play a key role as part of the Housing Department Management Team (DMT), providing strategic leadership, driving innovation, and ensuring high-quality service delivery across multiple functions.
Responsibilities:
* Provide strategic leadership and direction across Strategic Assets, Facilities Management, and Design Services.
* Lead on the development and delivery of the Councils Asset Management Strategy and service delivery plans.
* Oversee Facilities Management for the Councils non-housing estate, ensuring compliance, maintenance, and value for money.
* Manage large revenue and capital budgets (c. £6m revenue, £2530m capital).
* Ensure effective performance management, financial control, contract management, and risk management.
* Represent the Council at local, regional, and national forums, and deputise for the Chief Officer when required.
Essentials:
* Degree or postgraduate qualification in Estates Surveying, Asset Management, or a related field.
* Professional membership of RICS (MRICS) or equivalent.
* Management qualification or significant equivalent management experience.
* Extensive experience in Asset Management, preferably within the public sector.
* Experience of risk management, health & safety compliance, and statutory obligations.
