Overview:
The Lead Developer will work closely with our Engineering Manager and will focus on coaching, mentoring, and implementing ownership and accountability. As the Team Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of your engineering team by providing technical guidance, fostering collaboration, and ensuring the efficient, on-time, every-time execution of all projects. You will be held accountable for your team and will ensure responsibilities are clearly defined and followed. Your leadership will be instrumental in achieving our software development goals and developing a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Technical Leadership:
Lead and inspire a team of software engineers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and coaching to help them reach their full potential.
Collaborate with the Engineering Manager to set technical direction, establish best practices, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
2. Project Execution:
Work closely with the Engineering Manager to ensure the successful planning, execution, and on-time delivery of engineering projects.
Manage day-to-day project activities, monitor progress, and identify and mitigate risks or issues.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Foster effective communication and collaboration within the engineering team and with other cross-functional teams, such as the PMO, N&I, and Information Security.
Act as a bridge between your team and upper management, conveying team progress effectively and visually.
4. Technical Expertise:
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, advocating relevant technology adoption when beneficial and aligned with project goals.
Provide technical guidance and support to team members, helping to solve complex technical challenges and assisting in successful deliveries.
5. Team Development:
Support the career development of your team members by identifying skill gaps and creating personalized growth plans.
Promote a positive and inclusive team culture that encourages collaboration, innovation, and knowledge sharing.
6. Performance Tracking and Improvement:
Collaborate with the Engineering Manager to define and track objectives for your team, regularly assessing performance against metrics.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase value, efficiency, and productivity.
