SEND Teaching Assistant – Exeter, Devon

Working Hours: 8:30 am – 3:30 pm (Monday to Friday)
Pay Rate: £90 - £100 per day (based on experience)

About the School
Our partner school in Exeter is a specialist setting for students with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Autism, learning difficulties, and communication challenges. The school provides a nurturing and inclusive environment focused on academic, social, and emotional development. Through tailored support and personalised learning plans, students are empowered to build independence and confidence.
Key Responsibilities
Support students in accessing the curriculum within the classroom
Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions for students with SEND
Assist in developing and implementing individualised learning plans
Help manage behaviour and provide emotional support
Promote a positive and engaging learning environment
Candidate Requirements
Passion for supporting students with SEND
Experience in education or care (preferred but not essential)
Strong communication skills, patience, and resilience
Ability to work collaboratively within a team
Proactive and adaptable approach to student support
