Responsibilities
* Assist chefs in preparing and cooking food items according to recipes and presentation standards.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workstation at all times.
* Ensure all food preparation tasks are carried out in line with health and safety regulations.
* Receive and store deliveries, checking for quality and freshness of ingredients.
* Support the kitchen team during busy service periods to ensure timely delivery of dishes.
* Participate in the preparation of mise en place to facilitate smooth kitchen operations.
* Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
Requirements
* Previous experience or training in a similar kitchen role is an advantage but not essential.
* Passion for food and commitment to learning new culinary skills.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
* Understanding of basic hygiene and food safety practices.
* Flexibility to work casual shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
* Physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks as required.
