Rates of Pay:
* Basic: £14.12 per hour
* Unsocial Hours - £18.87 per hour
Day to Day Duties:
Your duties as a 3.5 Tonne Driver will involve but not be limited to:
* One main collection per night with others added on pending requirements
* Operate and drive various 3.5 Tonne vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
* Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
* Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
* Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
* Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
* Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
* Assist with loaded and unloading of cargo as needed
Essential Skills:
As a 3.5 Tonne Driver you will need to:
* Hold a valid UK Category B Driving Licence
* Have a minimum of 12 months experience driving Category B vehicles
* No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
* Must have good knowledge of UK road network
* Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
* Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
* Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
* Effective communication skills
Desirable Experience:
* Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial
* Previous experience in multi drop experience will be beneficial
Training:
* Driver's Assessment will have to be completed
* After successful Assessment, there will be a one day paid induction
