Job Description
We are seeking two Senior Electrical Engineers to join a high-priority explosives manufacturing facility project near Reading. The role involves resolving critical ATEX-related shortfalls identified during detailed inspections.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Installation Shortfalls: Address components not installed in correct ATEX zones, cable segregation issues, overloaded junction boxes, etc.
2. Documentation Shortfalls: Update missing or outdated ATEX records such as Design Substantiation Documents, Verification Dossiers, and Superseded ATEX Registers.
3. Review current documentation against as-built installations.
4. Conduct physical inspections as necessary.
5. Generate baseline shortfall reports.
6. Update critical documents, including ATEX Registers, Dossiers, and Reports.
7. Propose new designs and specify ATEX-compliant components.
Qualifications:
* 5+ years of experience in Electrical Design & Installation within a Nuclear, Defence, or other highly regulated environment.
* Strong ATEX experience, including familiarity with ATEX Registers, Dossiers, Reports, GA, and Hazardous Area Drawings.
Additional Information:
* Hybrid working: 2 days/week at the client site near Reading.
* Two positions available, starting as early as May 2025.
* Security Clearance: Minimum of Security Check (SC); DV clearance preferred. Candidates must be sole UK nationals.
