Assistant Quantity Surveyor
Salary: Up to £45k
Location: Erith, Kent
We are a leading specialist contractor delivering high‑quality façades, drylining, partitions, ceilings, and internal fit‑out packages on major schemes across London and the South East. We seek an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our growing commercial team.
Responsibilities
* Assist with valuations, variations, forecasting and cost control across multiple live packages.
* Help prepare tender documents, issue orders and liaise with supply chain partners during procurement.
* Monitor subcontractor applications, payments and contract administration.
* Collaborate with site teams, project managers and senior surveyors to ensure commercial targets are achieved.
* Contribute to monthly CVRs, commercial reports and risk management strategies.
* Support development of strong working relationships with clients, contractors and consultants.
Requirements
* A degree (or working towards one) in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline.
* Experience in a similar Assistant QS role, ideally within specialist contracting or main contracting.
* Strong commercial awareness, numerical ability and communication skills.
* A proactive approach, team focus and eagerness to develop professionally.
* Full UK driving licence preferred.
