EQUANS is looking for a Payroll Administrator to join our Shared Services team based at Quorum Business Park, Newcastle-upon-Tyne on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £21, - £26, per annum, dependant upon skills and experience as well as benefits package.
As Payroll and Pensions Administrator, you will maintain effective procedures and processes to ensure accuracy of salaries, statutory payments and reporting, in line with agreed SLAs. This is a varied role, where you will work with multiple stakeholders, payroll frequencies and pension schemes on a daily basis, as well as contributing to exciting, new projects to drive improvements and efficiencies

As a member of our Shared Services team, you will have the ability to work flexibly from our brand-new office space at the Quorum Business Park for 2 days each week, with 3 days at home. What will you deliver?
1. Timesheet input, Process payroll cycle, Input pension amendments and process auto enrolment
2. Pay and pension enquiries, Absence Administration, Statutory and Voluntary deductions from pay
3. Loading of Interface files, Liaise with HR as appropriate, Tax code changes, P45, RTI submissions
4. Annual pension returns, Pension reconciliation and upload to providers portals, ensure the requisite transactions are processed in the pension scheme
5. Complete payroll accounting entries and prepare and scrutinise the payroll journals
6. Prepare, check and load the interface files
7. Have a good working knowledge of payroll and pension processes, legislation and compliance requirements
8. Ensure all process documentation/operating procedures are up to date
9. Liaise with HR as required and support the Payroll Team.

Who are we looking for?
21. SAP ERP experience essential
22. Experience in operating within a Payroll/Pensions team in a transaction processing environment
23. CIPP qualification desirable
24. Technical knowledge in payroll and pension reconciliation
25. Excellent administration skills
26. Excellent team player being mutually supportive
27. Good communication skills
28. Good data entry speeds
29. Strong IT skills.
This role includes a Basic DBS check therefore ability to pass is essential.
