Teaching Assistant – Wallasey, Wirral
TalentBoard is looking to recruit enthusiastic, supportive and reliable Teaching Assistants to work across a range of primary and secondary schools in Wallasey and the surrounding Wirral areas. Your day-to-day responsibilities
* Assisting teachers with the delivery of creative, engaging lessons across different subjects.
* Supporting pupils during class activities, helping them stay motivated, focused and confident.
* Providing 1:1 or small-group support to help reinforce learning and build key skills.
* Encouraging positive behaviour and contributing to a calm, inclusive classroom environment.
* Preparing learning materials, helping with classroom organisation and supporting daily routines.
* Promoting the inclusion of all pupils, including those who may need additional guidance.
* Following safeguarding procedures to ensure every child feels safe, supported and valued.
Who we’re looking for
* Experience working with children or young people is an advantage — though we also welcome individuals from care, youth work, coaching, mentoring or support backgrounds.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
* A patient, enthusiastic and proactive attitude towards learning support.
* Ability to work well as part of a team as well as independently when needed.
* A genuine interest in education and supporting children’s personal and academic development.
* An Enhanced DBS is required, or applicants must be willing to apply for one.
