Perfect for a people focused leader
Full Job Description
An independent veterinary group in South-West London is recruiting for an experienced Area Manager to support a small network of well-established practices. With each clinic providing outstanding care and building strong community ties, this is a fantastic opportunity for a people-focused leader who wants to make a difference at ground level.
This role is all about presence, influence, and practical support. Working alongside practice managers, senior nurses, and customer care leads, the Area Manager will help coordinate daily operations, lift team morale, and ensure each site delivers consistently excellent service—both to clients and to each other.
Each clinic in the group has its own energy and strengths, but what unites them is a shared commitment to patient wellbeing, ethical care, and nurturing a happy, high-performing team culture.
Why this role is different:
Tangible impact – Shape how practices run, resolve challenges before they escalate, and make real-time improvements that benefit everyone.
Authentic leadership – Guide, coach, and inspire team members to thrive in their roles and feel genuinely supported.
Clinical and client excellence – Work with respected vets, skilled RVNs, and front-of-house stars to keep standards high.
Collaborative culture – Enjoy the backing of an experienced, grounded senior leadership team who value ideas and initiative.
£55,000 salary – Reflecting the seniority, responsibility, and pace of the role.
This full-time position involves being on-site across the week, travelling between practices within South-West London. It suits a proactive, people-first manager with prior experience either as an Area Manager or leading multiple sites. Veterinary experience is preferred.
For those ready to move beyond a single-site remit—but who still want to stay close to the people and purpose of practice life—this role offers real opportunity, independence, and reward.
