About the role
Heart of Supply recruiting Primary Supply Teachers to support partner schools across Grantham and the surrounding areas. These Supply Teacher roles are flexible positions and include day-to-day, short-term, and longer-term cover in EYFS, KS1 and KS2 classrooms. You'll step into a range of schools, delivering engaging lessons, following pre-set plans, and helping maintain a positive and consistent learning environment in the absence of the regular class teacher.
We're looking for adaptable, confident primary supply teachers who can quickly build rapport with pupils and staff, manage behaviour positively, and bring energy and calm to each day. You'll need to be proactive, reliable, and able to slot into new settings with ease, whether you're teaching phonics in Reception or guiding a Year 6 class through revision.
Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging lessons and follow pre-set plans to support a range of pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
* Assist in maintaining a positive and consistent learning environment in the absence of the regular class teacher.
* Adapt quickly to new schools, classrooms, and routines; build rapport with pupils and staff.
* Manage behaviour positively and confidently with a flexible, proactive approach.
* Provide creativity and energy while following established teaching plans.
What you will need (Qualifications)
* QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and recent experience in a UK primary setting
* A nurturing, flexible teaching approach with the ability to connect quickly with pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
* Confident classroom presence with strong behaviour management rooted in positive reinforcement
* The ability to follow pre-set work while bringing your own creativity and energy to the classroom
* Clear communication, a proactive attitude, and the ability to build rapport with pupils and staff alike
* A minimum of 6 weeks' teaching experience in the UK
