Overview
Senior Civil / Structural Engineer – Outside IR35 at Kent. Kent is looking for a Senior Civil / Structural Engineer to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
We are seeking a candidate with experience in civil/structural engineering for projects in the oil & gas, process plants, green energy and biofuels sectors, both in the UK and overseas. This role involves FEED and Detailed Engineering projects, and requires collaboration across disciplines to deliver high-quality engineering outputs.
Key Deliverables
* Civil / Structural engineering and design aspects for FEED and Detailed Engineering projects
* Oil & Gas and Process Plants projects in UK and overseas
* Green Energy and Biofuels projects in UK and overseas
* Civil / Structural calculations
* Sketches and drawings
* Review and checking of engineering deliverables
* Specifications
* Technical reports
* Scopes of work
* Inputs to drawings and 3D models
* Preparation of MTOs
* Misc technical documentation
* Scope applicable to Civil Works, Piling, Foundations, Steel Structures and Industrial Buildings
Key Requirements
* Engineering degree, honours or equivalent in Civil / Structural Engineering (minimum)
* Chartered Engineer or member of an appropriate professional organization
* Experience in Civil/Structural Engineering related to structures supporting hydrocarbon projects
* FEED, detailed design and EPC projects
* Knowledge and experience of applicable international and industry specifications, standards and codes
* Technical knowledge in the engineering and design of foundations, piling, reinforced concrete structures, steel structures and buildings
* Complementary knowledge of civil and underground engineering and design
* Hands-on experience with engineering software and tools relevant to Civil / Structural Engineering; Staad Pro experience preferred
