The main purpose of the role is to drive growth by identifying and securing new opportunities in sectors such as commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, and public infrastructure. You will represent the company regionally, expanding our presence and building strategic relationships to meet business targets and develop long-term partnerships.

Responsibilities
1. Identify and develop new business opportunities within the non-residential construction sector.
2. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including architects, consultants, clients, and public sector bodies.
3. Prospect and qualify leads through networking, industry events, and market research within Stoke and Derby.
4. Support tender submissions collaboratively with bid and estimating teams.
5. Deliver tailored presentations and proposals aligned with client needs.
6. Maintain a pipeline of opportunities and manage the full sales cycle.
7. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure a cohesive client approach.
8. Stay informed on industry trends, competitors, and procurement practices.
9. Report monthly on activities, forecasts, and market insights.
Candidate Requirements
* Proven experience in business development or sales within construction.
* Understanding of procurement processes in commercial and public sectors.
* Established network in Stoke and Derby sectors (e.g., education, healthcare).
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship skills.
* Ability to work independently and strategically in a regional territory.
* Full UK driving license and willingness to travel.
* Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office.
* Experience with frameworks or government tenders.
