Location:Flexible (remote working), needs to be able to travel across the UK with overnight stays when required.
Contract:Permanent, full-time, 37.5 hours per week with flexibility to attend evening/weekend functions as appropriate.
The Role:This is an extremely exciting opportunity to be part of the growth and development of the Case Management Society UK (CMSUK), a registered charity and membership organisation run by, and for, case managers. The majority of CMSUK members currently work within the field of personal injury rehabilitation, but the Society exists for case managers from all professional backgrounds and client groups, as well as individuals in supportive roles within case managementCMSUK, established in 2001, is the most inclusive membership organisation in UK case management, and its vision for the future is innovative and ambitious.
We are looking for a passionate, inspiring and committed leader who will support CMSUK on the next chapter of its journey, managing the newly established business subsidiary Case Management Enterprises (CME) and ensuring the voice of the case management community is heard in all decisions and developments within the reach of the organisation.
The Professional Development Director will work closely with the Board of Trustees and the employed team at CMSUK to realise the vision and implement the strategic aims of the organisation.

Key aims of the role:
The role holder will constantly strive for excellence in improving and developing the value of the CMSUK/CME provision to its members, promoting recognition of and integrity within the case management profession.
* Overall strategic responsibility for CME, ensuring the CMSUK strategic plan for the development of case management as a profession translates into the operations of the business subsidiary
* Positive and expansive two-way engagement with the case management community to facilitate member involvement, provide a clear connectedness to wider industry intelligence and a range of benefits that is exciting, innovative, and of the highest quality and value to members.
* Managing “industry” communications and key partner relationships alongside the work of the CMSUK Board members
* Financial oversight of CME with defined spending authority (in the context of the wider financial planning agreed by the CMSUK Board)
* Accountability for contracts and terms of business on behalf of CME
* Framing and implementation of membership growth strategy and member engagement, identifying new networks and embedding the inclusivity of the CMSUK community.
* Supporting the Board with the delivery of the CMSUK education strategy
* Line management of CME employees
* Supporting the Operations Manager with the identification of clinically appropriate training themes, securing appropriate speakers, and event programme management
* Supporting and advising the CMSUK Board with organisational governance in line with policies and procedures
Person Specification
* A clear passion for case management and an ambition to support best practice
* An in-depth understanding of the case management community and related professional and healthcare communities
* Experience of working at a senior strategic level in case management or a related professional area
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; an effective and engaging public speaker and comfortable with a wide range of stakeholder audiences
* Sound understanding of business and financial management
