Consultant Radiologists – Interventional Radiology; Cross‑Sectional Imaging with special interests in Musculoskeletal (MSK), Cardiothoracic, Breast, and General Radiology.
Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust – Full time, 10 PA’s, Permanent. Substantive posts are based at Darent Valley Hospital (DVH) and Queen Mary’s Hospital (QMH) to support Radiology services across the trust.

Responsibilities
* Demonstrate leadership through positive role‑modelling and team working.
* Provide Radiology service as a member of the Directorate, covering DVH and QMH as required.
* Assume continuous commitment for patient care, ensuring adequate arrangements for leave and off‑duty periods even on reduced duties.
* Promote high professional standards of clinical care and maintain continuing professional development.
* Work independently and, where appropriate, supervise others under Consultant oversight.
* Take an active role in the management and organisation of the Directorate, contributing to teaching, research and audit programmes.
* Attend Directorate meetings, committees and management convened sessions that affect departmental work.
* Develop or maintain sub‑specialist interests with agreed support.
* Participate in formal teaching and ongoing audit programmes within the Directorate.
Person Specification
Essential Qualifications
* Recognised medical degree (MBBS or equivalent).
* Completed or within 3 months of attaining a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Radiology.
* Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) in the UK or Ireland, or equivalent.
Desirable Qualifications
* Higher Radiology qualification or post‑doctoral fellowships.
Essential Experience
* Wide experience in Acute and General Radiology (CT, MRI and Ultrasound).
* Completed subspecialty training in the relevant field (e.g., Interventional Radiology, MSK, Cardiothoracic, Breast).
Desirable Experience
* Fellowship in Radiology.
* Capability to perform routine image‑guided biopsies.
Essential Clinical Governance
* Involvement and understanding of Clinical Governance and Clinical Audit.
Essential Teaching
* Experience in lecturing and teaching medical undergraduates, post‑graduates, radiographers, nursing and other clinical staff.
Desirable Teaching
* Certificate of Teaching.
Essential Research
* Knowledge and awareness of research processes and relevance to clinical practice.
Desirable Research
* Experience of collaborative clinical or laboratory research.
* Publication of clinical work in peer‑reviewed journals.
Essential Knowledge & Skills
* Commitment to Continuing Medical Education.
* Awareness of current Radiology practices.
* Knowledge of IT‑based patient information systems.
* Proficiency in office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, databases) and internet usage.
