The role of SOE is critical in providing victims of sexual assault with the dedicated support and care required.
We're looking for caring and compassionate RN's, Midwifes, RMN's or Paramedics to join us as Sexual Offence Examiners to provide holistic care and support to victims of sexual assault.
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities will include:
* Forensic examinations and obtaining forensic exhibits.
* Develop forensic strategies according to FFLM guidelines.
* Actively work in partnership with external MDTs and Police.
* Serve as the first point of contact for victims, Police, and Social Services to discuss referral pathways.
* Manage and promote the self-referral pathway.
* Undertake holistic assessments including sexual health, mental health, and safeguarding.
* Support the continued quality improvement of the service.
* Work under the Forensic Science Regulator requirements.
* Obtain consent for health and forensic procedures.

Job responsibilities
Salary: £45,155.33 FTE based on 42 hours per week
Part-time positions available - up to 24 hours per week.
Hours: rota basis covering 24/7, 365 days per year. On-call working from home during out-of-hours.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Qualified Registered Nurse, Midwife, Paramedic.
* Applications are invited from females only due to the nature of the role, under the Sex Discrimination Act, Sections 7(2)b and 7(2)e.
* A UK driving license and access to a vehicle are required due to potential travel across SARCs.
* Advanced DBS and level 2 Police vetting will be required.
Experience
* Minimum of 3+ years relevant post-qualification experience.
* Knowledge of safeguarding children and adults.
* Understanding of confidentiality.
* Experience working autonomously.

This role is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975. A DBS check will be required to verify any criminal convictions.
