We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Multi-Skilled Carpenter to join our dynamic team, responsible for carrying out responsive and planned repairs across a diverse range of properties within the St Albans area. This is a mobile role where you will be the face of our company, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Undertake a wide variety of carpentry tasks, including but not limited to:
o Door hanging and adjustments
o Lock changes and installations
o Repairing and fitting kitchen units, cupboards, and worktops
o Boxing in pipework and other fixtures
* Carry out repairs and maintenance work in both occupied and void properties.
* Perform tasks in secondary trades, such as:
o Minor plumbing works (e.g., fixing leaks, replacing taps)
o Small area tiling
o Patch plastering
* Ensure all work is completed in a timely manner and to a high standard, adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Maintain clear and professional communication with residents and colleagues.
* Accurately record job details and material usage.
What We are Looking For:
* Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Carpenter.
* A relevant trade qualification (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ Level 2 or equivalent) in Carpentry is essential.
* Demonstrable skills and experience in secondary trades such as minor plumbing, tiling, and plastering.
* A strong understanding of health and safety practices.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Essential: A valid full UK driving license held for a minimum of 12 months (as a company vehicle will be provided for work use only).
* A commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
