Job Description
Salary £46,142 - £51,356 per annum | Fixed Term until 31/03/2029 | Full Time 37 hours per week | Preston
Are you passionate about improving people’s lives through early‑intervention support? Do you thrive in a role where collaboration, innovation, and impact are at the heart of everything you do? Join us at the Lancashire Skills and Employment Hub as we deliver WorkWell — a pioneering, nationally expanding programme that transforms the way individuals with health conditions access the support they need to start, stay, and succeed in work.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Leading the day‑to‑day delivery and oversight of the WorkWell programme across Lancashire, ensuring high‑quality, person‑centred services.
* Managing performance, risks, and reporting — including highlight reports, data insights, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
* Building strong partnerships with employers, delivery partners, ICB teams, DWP, and wider stakeholders to drive integration and successful outcomes.
* Overseeing contracts, KPIs, budgets, quality assurance, and compliance across the programme.
* Leading communications activity including events, case studies, digital content, and ongoing engagement with partners and communities of practice.
* You must provide a car for use in connection with the duties of this post and be insured for business use; consideration may be given to applicants who, as a consequence of a disability, are unable to drive.
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience managing complex projects or programmes, ideally within employability, health, or skills settings.
* Strong relationship‑building skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and collaborate across organisations.
* Excellent communication, analytical, and organisational skills — comfortable interpreting data, producing reports, and presenting with confidence.
* A proactive and adaptable problem‑solver with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
* Knowledge of employment and skills policy, particularly DWP and local labour‑market considerations, with a commitment to equality, inclusion, and high‑quality service delivery.
Benefits
* A competitive salary and Local Government Pension Scheme with generous employer contributions.
* A great holiday entitlement of 26 days annual leave, which increases with length of service; you will also be entitled to 8 Bank Holidays, 2 additional statutory Bank Holidays, and have the option to buy additional leave each year.
* A staff discount scheme in partnership with Vivup, allowing you to access discounts with a range of UK retailers, saving on everything from weekly food shops to white goods and cars.
* Access to fantastic development and career opportunities.
