We’re an established brand in the education and training sector, dedicated to providing comprehensive, high‑quality learning materials. Our mission is to make knowledge accessible and engaging, empowering individuals to develop skills that help them excel personally and professionally.

This is a full‑time on‑site role for a Lead Careers & Employability Advisor located in the City of London. As the Lead Careers & Employability Advisor at One Education, you’ll take ownership of developing and leading our careers guidance function. This is both a strategic and hands‑on role: balancing leadership, innovation, and delivery.

You’ll shape how we guide learners from “course choice” to “career next step”, ensuring our Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) provision remains impartial, impactful, and aligned with current labour‑market trends. You’ll mentor junior advisers, set service standards, and collaborate cross‑departmentally to enhance learner outcomes and employability impact across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

* Design, lead, and continually refine the CEIAG strategy across One Education’s learner base (UK and international).
* Mentor and support a small team of advisers or tutors delivering employability guidance and workshops.
* Champion best practice in impartial guidance, inclusion, and safeguarding across all learner interactions.
* Analyse learner data and outcomes to inform continuous improvement and management reporting.
* Represent One Education in employability forums, partnership meetings, and stakeholder engagements.

Learner Engagement

* Deliver 1:1 and group guidance sessions to learners, supporting goal‑setting, career transitions, and up/re‑skilling pathways.
* Oversee the quality of all learner action plans, ensuring they are realistic, measurable, and learner‑centred.
* Support the design and delivery of workshops/webinars on CV writing, interviews, digital networking, and sector pathways.

Employer & Partner Collaboration

* Build and maintain relationships with employers, recruiters, and training providers to identify opportunities for learners.
* Curate and promote live vacancies, work placements, and employer insight sessions.
* Feed market intelligence back into course design and learner progression planning.

Resources & Innovation

* Oversee the production of career resources, templates, and toolkits that reflect One Education’s professional standards.
* Contribute to the development of digital career tools within the LMS/CRM environment.

What You’ll Bring

* Level 6 Careers Guidance & Development qualification (or working towards).
* Demonstrable leadership experience in careers, employability, or education guidance.
* A track record of designing or delivering impactful CEIAG services within FE/HE, training, or employability sectors.
* Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder‑management skills.
* Strong digital literacy, data analysis, and reporting capability.
* Strategic mindset with the ability to translate insight into service improvement.
* Genuine passion for supporting others to reach their full potential and navigate career transitions successfully.

Desirable

* Familiarity with online learning environments and adult up/re‑skilling journeys.
* Employer engagement experience and understanding of recruitment processes.
* Working knowledge of UK qualification frameworks and UCAS progression routes.

Success Indicators (KPIs)

* Increased learner engagement, satisfaction, and progression outcomes.
* Evidence of improved employability impact and CEIAG quality metrics.
* Development and delivery of new guidance initiatives and resources.
* Strengthened employer and industry partnerships.
* Effective mentorship and upskilling of team members.

What We Offer

* Opportunity to build and lead a growing careers and employability function.
* Flexible working and a supportive, collaborative culture.
* Ongoing professional development and access to One Education’s extensive course library.
* The chance to make a measurable difference to learner confidence, employability, and life outcomes.
