Learning Experience Designer
Location: Manchester, UK (2 days onsite, 3 days WFH)
Duration: 12 months contract
The Learning Experience Designer will own and drive the digital design vision of the learning experience offering, providing thought leadership in creating and curating impactful and innovative learning experiences to address knowledge, skill, performance, and behavior gaps.
This role will manage all branding, including safeguarding visual content quality and integrity, and will work or consult cross-departmentally with the People Team COEs and external agencies involved in content, design, and delivery.
The role involves building and maintaining relationships with internal teams, stakeholders, and external vendors to align digital design initiatives with the L&D strategy and broader business objectives.
Responsibilities:
* Create, organize, and maintain a centralized knowledge base for Talent Development digital content, ensuring quality, proper asset management, licensing, and adherence to processes and templates, with the learner experience as a priority. Measure, scale, report, and address risks or dependencies, involving leadership as needed.
* Collaborate effectively with other departments to support business growth and serve as the point of contact for all L&D digital content, facilitating new business challenges and removing friction.
* Identify, drive, and lead innovation strategies, experimentation, and creative capabilities, ensuring learning solutions are designed based on market trends, design principles, and deliver maximum learner value.
* Research, design, and develop diverse learning experiences, including content creation and curation catering to different ability levels and learning styles.
* Develop, use, and review standards, processes, and tools to ensure experiences meet objectives, timelines, and impact metrics, continuously improving to stay relevant and effective.
* Stay updated on new learning technologies and market developments, benchmarking internal technologies against industry standards.
* Demonstrate thought leadership and innovative practices, evaluating new technologies and processes for their impact and benefits.
* Manage content and digital design for external vendor partnerships, including sourcing, negotiation, commissioning, and relationship management, with budget responsibility.
* Design experiences with a human-centered approach, partnering with internal teams and vendors to optimize tooling, testing, and engagement.
