Role Overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a time-served, multi-skilled Shift Engineer to join an established engineering team based in East Kilbride. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring production equipment and site services operate efficiently, supporting both planned maintenance and reactive repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work 12-hour shifts on a customer-driven roster pattern.
* Carry out maintenance, repairs, and fault-finding on production machinery, including printing and packaging equipment.
* Provide maintenance support for site services.
* Supervise and coordinate contractors to ensure safe and compliant work practices.
* Participate in preventative and predictive maintenance routines.
* Contribute to improvement projects to increase equipment reliability and efficiency.
* Ensure strict adherence to Health & Safety standards at all times.
Qualifications & Experience Required:
* Completed a recognised apprenticeship in either electrical or mechanical engineering.
* Multi-skilled with practical experience across electrical and mechanical disciplines.
* Flexible and responsive approach to equipment maintenance and breakdowns.
* Previous experience working with PLC and microprocessor-controlled equipment.
* Ability to interpret and work from electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic schematics.
* Familiarity with computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS).
* PC literate with good general IT skills.
