About the role:
Manage a team of registered nurses and healthcare assistants, ensuring high standards of holistic care through effective assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Responsible for performance management of clinical staff, including recruitment, induction, development, supervision, appraisal, and discipline, in line with Brainkind policies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the nursing team to develop quality care, support colleagues and relatives, delegate appropriately, and assess competence.
* Manage a service user group, liaising with multidisciplinary teams, service users, and families to coordinate care.
* Assess potential service users in collaboration with the Head of Clinical Services/Ward Manager and develop individualized care plans based on evidence-based guidelines.
* Maintain accurate records of patient consultations, complying with legislation and policies.
* Ensure all clinical staff receive supervision and promote high clinical standards through competency monitoring.
* Identify training needs and support staff development, fostering a learning environment.
* Provide education to patients, families, and colleagues, sharing knowledge and mentoring students as appropriate.
* Adhere to all Brainkind policies and maintain a safe, confidential working environment.
About you:
* Registered Nurse qualification or degree-level equivalent.
* Experience in specialist palliative or neurological care.
* Leadership skills and ability to influence in a clinical setting.
* Knowledge of current legislation relevant to independent care sectors.
* Self-motivated, with strong communication, negotiation, and conflict management skills.
* Ability to manage change and performance effectively.
* Experience in teaching and mentoring in clinical environments.
