Early Years Manager - Summer - Winchester, Hampshire
Hours: 08:00-18:00, Monday - Friday. (Total hours will not exceed 47.5 hours per week)
Salary: £580.24 - £718.65 per week, depending on age, experience, qualifications, and camp size
Note: Contracts for February Half Term will be issued at 2023 wage levels. From 1st April 2024, new wage levels will apply.
Report to: Camp Manager, Area Manager, and Central Office

Early Years Manager Duties
* Support and deliver induction training; oversee set-up days before camp begins
* Complete necessary paperwork and conduct high-risk activity assessments following Barracudas Activity Codes of Practice
* Enforce health and safety regulations to maintain a safe environment
* Implement the Early Years Foundation Stage through planning Explore and Play sessions
* Designated Person (DP) for Safeguarding, handling child protection and safeguarding issues
* Communicate regularly with Area Managers and Central Office
* Observe children and participate in high-risk activities with staff
* Regularly check staff understanding of safeguarding procedures
* Serve as the main contact for OFSTED inspectors on camp
* Communicate with parents, manage administration, and oversee Early Years staff
* Maintain tidiness of site and baserooms; ensure equipment is stored properly
* Assess and review staff performance for end-of-season evaluations
* Support staff during sessions as needed
Requirements
* Attend compulsory senior training events
* Qualified in Early Years (e.g., Primary qualification, CACHE L3, PGCE, BA Primary Education)
* Experience in a childcare setting
* Legal eligibility to work in the UK
* Enhanced DBS check through Barracudas or existing on the Update Service
* Satisfactory professional/academic references
* Attend and deliver induction training prior to camp
* Complete annual online training
* Coordinate camp pack-up at the end of the season
* Minimum of 1-2 senior staff members Paediatric First Aid trained, depending on camp size
Additional Responsibilities
* Follow health and safety procedures diligently
* Proactively address safety issues
* Prepare for induction training with relevant manuals
* Complete staff evaluations at contract end
* Report safeguarding concerns to Central Office
* Manage children with additional needs, including medical or dietary requirements
* Administer medication following EI forms and document appropriately
* Bring swimwear daily for swimming sessions
* Perform other duties as required within the organization
