We are among the market leaders in the production of custom brake kits and all the parts for the braking system for all manner of cars; (Road Cars, Classic Cars, Race Cars and Kit Cars) from one off specials to low volume production.
Previous specific experience is not essential as this is a small, specialised industry with not many companies like us. However, previous relatable experience and an interest in automotive engineering will be beneficial.
Extensive on the job training will be provided as the successful candidate will be shadowing one of our experienced team.

Main Responsibilities
The main aspects of the engineering role are list below, but this is not an exhaustive list.
* Spending time learning all aspects of the Hi Spec automotive engineering production line
* Checking the main workshop area is clean and safe
* Sawing, learn to use the saw safely, speak with the different people to see what is required, then saw it & deliver it.
* Deliveries, work with dispatch to bring in metal deliveries, check sizes are correct, mark, and put away.
* Keep the sawing area clean, neat & tidy.
* Clean the swarf from the machines
* Empty the swaft bins into the "tipper"
* Monitor & maintain the coolant level in "all" the machines
* Monitor & maintain the "Slideway lube" level in "all" the machines
* Sweep & tidy the workshop, various different departments
* Finishing/De-Buring
* Virtually all the parts coming off the machines need minor finishing operations, manually de-bur sharp edges. Manually countersink holes with sharp edges
* Machine loading/tending some jobs are more complicated than others, but all jobs need loading & unloading in a safe & timely manner
* Starting with simpler jobs help out in various sections with basic load/unload/QC check jobs
Almost all are CNC, Computer controlled machines.
