We are looking for an experienced Senior Heating Engineer to join our heating service delivery team in South Wales. In this role you will shape and improve the future of service delivery to Wales & West Housing residents.
Qualifications
* Formal training with a relevant craft qualification such as City & Guilds, NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent.
* ACS qualifications: CCN1, CEN1, WAT1, CKR1, HTR1.
* Current valid full driving licence.
Responsibilities
* Support and manage a team of Heating Engineers.
* Plan and manage workload covering plumbing, heating and gas installation works on reactive maintenance and planned work projects.
* Deliver training to heating staff, facilitate continuous performance improvement and develop the heating service.
* Manage van stock, usage, recording, stock profile and specialist job materials, as well as necessary plant and vehicles.
* Monitor health and safety requirements; provide appropriate training and take action for non‑compliance.
* Carry out and maintain task‑specific risk assessments for work at height, heating work, COSHH, manual handling and conduct toolbox talks.
* Develop and manage relationships with external organisations to ensure certification and membership are maintained.
* Complete and maintain all necessary documentation, records, systems, assessments and certification.
Pay & Benefits
£20.17 per hour for a basic 40‑hour week (average earnings £41,945). Additional payment for participation in the 24/7 emergency call‑out service.
* 25 days annual leave (plus an additional 8 bank holidays), increasing to 30 days with service.
