The Opportunity
We’re working with a leading compliance specialist who is expanding their healthcare division and looking to appoint an experienced Remedial Plumber / Water Hygiene Engineer.
This is a field-based role where you’ll take ownership of remedial plumbing and water hygiene works across a range of commercial and healthcare sites, ensuring systems remain fully compliant and operational.
This role is suited to someone who is already confident carrying out TMV servicing, remedial works, and fault finding independently.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out remedial plumbing works including pipework, valves, tanks, and system modifications
Install, repair, and replace components across water systems
Conduct TMV servicing, replacements, and fault finding
Perform tank cleans, disinfections, and chlorination works
Carry out system flushing, temperature monitoring, and water sampling
Identify system risks and implement corrective actions
Ensure all work complies with **ACoP L8 guidelines
Complete detailed reports and documentation
Liaise with clients, site teams, and compliance managers
Maintain high standards of health & safety on site
Additional duties may include:
Internal inspections
Clarifier inspections
Biocide dosing and servicing
About You
Proven experience in remedial plumbing and water hygiene works
Confident working independently across multiple sites
Strong working knowledge of TMVs, disinfection, and system compliance
Ideally hold City & Guilds or NVQ in Plumbing (Level 2 or 3)
Experience within healthcare environments highly desirable
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Full UK driving licence
This role is suited to an engineer who can identify issues, take ownership, and resolve them without supervision.
