Job Summary
The European Research Institute invites you to join its camera R&D team based in Cambridge. You will work with leading experts on innovative camera algorithms, leveraging Huawei AI solutions to advance mobile imaging technology.
Key Responsibilities
 * Work closely with cross‑functional teams to propose future imaging solutions in color and tone reproduction based on customer requirements and existing solution gaps.
 * Define related algorithms (e.g., TM, AWB, color correction) and evolve the roadmap, ensuring product competitiveness.
 * Propose efficient HW IP/SOC solutions considering power, performance, area, latency, and image quality.
 * Organize proof‑of‑concept frameworks to guide research directions in color and tone reproduction algorithms.
 * Track state‑of‑the‑art algorithms applicable to embedded systems, image or video processing.
Person Specification
 * Master’s or PhD degree with 10+ years of industry experience in mobile imaging.
 * Detailed understanding of mobile imaging systems and module designs (image sensors, optics, mechanics, auto‑focus, OIS, software and HW image processing pipelines).
 * Knowledge of state‑of‑the‑art ISP data‑flows and processing blocks.
 * Experience with modern imaging color algorithms such as multi‑illuminant WB, spectral imaging, multi‑camera fusion.
 * In‑depth knowledge of end‑to‑end image processing, modern standards and color space definitions.
 * Experience in imaging system simulation and evaluation, including objective/subjective image quality metrics and measurement protocols.
 * Ability to work autonomously and mentor junior team members.
 * Root‑cause analysis and problem‑solving skills.
 * Results‑driven, excellent communication skills, and ability to work in a multicultural multi‑site environment.
